32 Trout Unlimited Offices Support Legacy Roads
It's becoming clear that the Legacy Roads program is gaining significant national support and publicity. From Western Governors and the U.S. Council of Mayors writing to Secretary Vilsack in support of the program, organizations from across the political spectrum are voicing their support. Now add thirty two Trout Unlimited offices to the list. In a great show of grassroots' support for the program, thirty two independent Trout Unlimited organizations have signed a letter in support of the Legacy Roads program. Oregon TU director, Tom Wolf drafted the letter and succeeded in getting thrity one other TU state leaders to sign on, urging USDA Secretary Tom Vilsack and Forest Service Chief Tom Tidwell to support and expand the legacy Roads Program throughout the country. This latest example of grassroots organizations supporting the Legacy Roads program is heartening and exciting to WWRI. We look forward to seeing more and more support as we build and expand our efforts to publicize and promote this critical program. To see the letter, click on the attachment below.
